Managing Partner · M&A Advisor
Balaji Selvaraj
“Most businesses do not fail at the deal. They fail at the readiness.”
Deals are decided long before the term sheet. By the time a buyer or an investor is in the room, the cap table has already been built, the numbers have already been recorded a particular way, and the structure is already whatever it is. Balaji’s work is to get to those questions early — while there is still room to change the answer.
As Managing Partner he holds the firm’s overall direction and client relationships. As M&A Advisor he leads transaction work end to end: buy-side and sell-side advisory with particular depth in founder-led deals; investor readiness for businesses that need to be underwritable rather than merely promising; valuation, financial modelling and feasibility work that will survive a diligence process; deal structuring and financial due diligence; multi-year exit and succession planning designed as a runway rather than a scramble; and post-acquisition integration, where deals are actually won or lost.
He came to transactions from the finance chair rather than the deal desk. That shapes how he works: diligence starts with the numbers a buyer will genuinely test, and readiness work begins with the reporting that has to hold up under it.
